| How the endermologie technique works: To understand how Endermologie works it helps to know the different skin layers. The Epidermis is the visible outer layer. The Dermis is a rich collagen layer and the true skin layer. The Hypodermis is not a true region of skin, but a connective tissue layer that connects the dermis to underlying structures. Also known as the subcutaneous fat layer it consists of organized chambers filled with collagen fibers, trapped fat and bands of adipose tissue called panniculus adiposus. The thickness of the panniculus adiposus varies with age, gender, and health. Females have an extra thickness of adipose over the breasts, hips, and inner thighs. This layer is responsible for cellulite and DOES NOT respond to diet or exercise. The Superficial Reserve Fat Layer is the last layer involved. It too is occupied with adiposus but does NOT have organized defined chambers. This layer responds to diet and exercise and is the main target layer for liposuction.  The connective tissue condition is influence by age, diet, genetics, hormones, stress, exercise, medication and lifestyle. This determines where and how fat is stored, fluid is retained, and the amount of collagen and elastin fiber layers in our skin. When the waste removal system starts to fail, waste products start to build and the connective tissue becomes saturated with fluid. Growing fat cells destroy the network of collagen and elastin fibers reducing the skin of elasticity and resilience. Endermologie reverses the damage to the dermis and hypodermis by actively and passively stimulating the skin. It renews collagen and elastin production by releasing and decompressing vesicular, arterial, venous, and lymphatic structures, which result in an influx of blood along with nourishing elements and removal of excess fluids and unhealthy metabolites. Collagen is an insoluble, fibrous protein that constitutes about 70% of the dermis and offers support to the nerves, blood vessels, hair follicles, and glands.  Noticeable dfference will be skin condition, a better fit of clothes, tighter legs and hips, and an increase sense of well-being. In time a definite imporvement in the dimpled cellulite areas. This does not mean that all cellulite will be completely eradicated. The "appearance" of cellulite is what endermologie has proven to fight effectively.
